Tigres UANL have bolstered their squad with the loan signing of winger Jaidyn Contreras from MLS side FC Dallas. The deal, announced on September 11, runs until June 30, 2027 and includes a club option to buy the American youngster.

The transaction was completed prior to the closure of the Secondary Transfer Window on September 2. Contreras, 19, is a homegrown product of Dallas, having signed his first professional contract this past January. The player, who is eligible to represent the United States, Mexico, and Honduras, adds depth to a side sitting 14th in Liga MX with 7 points from eight games.

The young winger brings experience from MLS NEXT Pro, where he made his professional debut in July 2024 for North Texas SC. He helped that team win the development league title that same year. In total, he has made 41 appearances between 2024 and 2026, scoring three goals and providing six assists. His most recent international action came with Honduras in December 2025, where he scored his first senior goal.

FC Dallas confirmed the move in a statement: "FC Dallas announced today the loan of Homegrown winger Jaidyn Contreras to Liga MX side Tigres UANL through June 30, 2027, with a club option to buy."

Contreras joins a squad looking to improve its form after a run of three consecutive draws, including a 0-0 stalemate with Monterrey last weekend. Forward Rodrigo Aguirre, with three goals, is the team's top scorer this season. Tigres' next fixture is an away trip to bottom-placed FC Juarez on September 19.
