How the game went...
In the early stages of the match, Club América looked for an opening, with goal creator Geyse. Irene Guerrero of the Aztecas netted for them in the 11th minute after rounding Mayra Delgadillo and heading past her.
Tigres responded with their chances but also faced goalkeeper Itzel Velasco's interventions.
In the second half...
The game remained fairly balanced. Club América dominated, though Tigres had multiple opportunities to score in front of guard Itzel Velasco.
A goal was levelled for Tigres by Mayron Ordoñez at halftime in an unfortunate incident when their player fake out and hit the goalkeeper's arms. This drew disallowed as it fell under the rules of football.
The final 90 minutes saw two penalty kicks taken with Tigress: Queen Marie Mayor (from Aguilas) taking both shots but being thwarted by Mayordomo, who later aniled a penalty kick for Tigres.
Club América's Itzel Velasco won the game in a poorly executed pass of Mayordomo, which Velasco successfully intervened as it fell under fair-play ball rules, and hence they would have to get used to having their national championship wined once again.
